Strong lobbying for spatial interests and the effective use of strategic networks are essential. The assignment involves independently completing and delivering concrete products for strategic inter-administrative cooperation.
What you do
- Adapting and delivering roadmaps for inter-administrative cooperation to new working methods of the national government, including relevant national collaborations and interdepartmental connections.
- Developing and delivering a roadmap for cooperation with strategists in the regions and the working method for drafting a spatial arrangement.
- Delivering substantive strategic analyses and advice as building blocks for these products, including analyses on spatial policy and implementation strategies, also in relation to an upcoming administrative change.
What they ask
- At least a completed university (WO) degree in Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, or Geography, or a comparable field of study.
- At least 15 years of demonstrable experience (gained between 2005 and present) as a strategist or policy officer in the field of spatial planning, of which in the past 5 years, inter-administrative interaction with other authorities formed an important part of daily work.
- At least 15 years of demonstrable experience (gained between 2005 and present) with spatial projects and/or area developments, of which at least 5 assignments/projects of a major or large-scale nature, and 1 of these assignments/projects carried out in the last 5 years.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable experience in translating spatial visions or policy documents or strategies into practical implementation, to be shown with practical examples.
- Demonstrable experience with international (administrative) cooperation on substantive spatial issues, to be shown with practical examples.
- Demonstrable experience with politically sensitive, administratively dynamic, and complex processes or issues, to be shown with practical examples.
