You will build the electrical installation of commercial vehicles and trailers custom-made for the client. You will receive a vehicle under construction and ensure that lighting, wiring, controls, and other electrical functions perform exactly as they should. You will work from schematics but also need to be able to think technically independently. If a connection doesn't fit as intended or a system isn't working correctly, you will identify the problem and provide a practical solution.
What you do
- Install and connect wiring harnesses, lighting, and electrical components
- Mount controls and customer-specific functions in the vehicle
- Use electrical schematics during the complete assembly
- Measure, test installations, and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Coordinate technical adjustments with assembly and engineering
Profile
- MBO degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive technology
- Experience with electrical installations, vehicle electronics, or similar technology
- Ability to read and apply electrical schematics
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems
- Interest in commercial vehicles, trailers, and custom vehicle technology
Practical
You will combine electrical engineering with automotive technology and work in fixed day shifts. You will join a specialized company that builds commercial vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles for specific applications. The technology is adapted to what the vehicle needs to be able to do in practice. You will work closely with assemblers and engineering. You will understand the purpose of a system, contribute to technical problem-solving, and ultimately see a fully assembled vehicle leave the workshop.
