Broadcast Support Engineer
For an organization within the media and audiovisual sector, we are looking for a Media Support Engineer with an interest in technology, audiovisual systems, and the media world. You will be at the heart of the production process, supporting employees with technical problems so that productions can continue without interruption. You will work in a dynamic environment with live broadcasts, new technologies, and technical challenges.
What you will do.
- Provide first-line technical support to production staff within various editorial teams.
- Support the technical equipment and infrastructure used by radio, news, and television teams.
- Analyze technical incidents and resolve them independently where possible.
- Engage the appropriate technical specialists when additional expertise is needed.
- Take on a coordinating role in complex technical problems and follow them up until service is fully restored.
- Participate in technical projects, including: new studios; broadcast systems; recording equipment; audiovisual infrastructure.
- Test new systems and equipment and report on your findings.
- Document technical solutions, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users.
- Work closely with colleagues within the technology department and with various media and editorial teams.
What they ask
- A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a technical field (Industrial Engineering, Computer Science) or an equivalent qualification.
- An audiovisual education combined with sufficient knowledge of IT and electronics is also relevant.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience within the media sector.
- At least 3 years of experience in a broadcast environment or with audiovisual technology.
- At least 3 years of experience in operating and/or coordinating a technical environment.
- Good knowledge of Windows.
Preferences.
- Experience with audio, video, and editing software.
- Experience working with media files.
- Knowledge of audio and/or video recording equipment (microphones, mixing consoles, video cameras).
- Knowledge of macOS.
Practical
- Possibility to work part-time or full-time.
- 3 days of remote work possible.
