Online Marketer

As an Online Marketer at an educational institution, you will fulfill a versatile and impactful role where strategy and execution go hand in hand. You contribute to strengthening the online brand position and actively work to increase visibility among potential students and their parents. You develop campaigns, analyze results, and continuously optimize – with an eye for both technology and content.

You work closely with colleagues within marketing, communication, and sales to improve and innovate the entire customer journey.

What you do

  • Develop and execute the online marketing strategy, including SEO, SEA, social advertising, and always-on campaigns
  • Increase the online visibility and findability of the organization via search engines and AI platforms
  • Develop a vision on GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI-search, and translate this into concrete actions to make the organization visible in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI-driven search environments
  • Identify new developments in the field of AI, search behavior, and digital marketing and translate these into opportunities for the organization
  • Optimize and manage the website and webshop, focusing on user-friendliness, conversion
  • Manage online marketing budgets and optimize the deployment of available resources
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance and funnel results
  • Initiate and execute experiments in the field of conversion optimization and lead generation
  • Research new online channels and gather customer insights through reviews, research, and data analysis

Profile

We are looking for an Online Marketer who takes initiative, shows ownership, and sees opportunities before others do. You are strongly analytical, curious about new developments, and enjoy experimenting with innovative digital marketing techniques.

What they ask

  • A completed HBO education in (online) marketing, commercial economics, or a comparable field
  • At least several years of relevant work experience in online marketing
  • Experience with SEO, SEA, conversion optimization, and marketing analysis
  • Interest in or experience with AI-search, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and the impact of generative AI on online visibility
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, and SEO tools
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing
  • A data-driven and results-oriented way of working
  • The ability to independently take on projects and involve stakeholders in your advice

Practical

  • Gross monthly salary between € 4,095 and € 5,470 (based on 40 hours)
  • 30 vacation days based on 40 hours
  • Travel expense scheme (public transport: full reimbursement of 2nd class travel costs; car: € 0.23 cents per km with a maximum of € 8.50 per day)
