Support a growing organization in the Ghent-Kortrijk region following a recent acquisition.
- Expand the finance team and provide hands-on accounting support to integrate the acquired entity.
- Strengthen financial processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What you will do.
- Manage general ledger accounting and month-end/year-end closing.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
- Support VAT declarations, statutory reporting, and BE GAAP compliance.
- Assist with integrating the acquired entity's accounting processes and financial records.
- Align charts of accounts, reconcile opening balances, and manage intercompany transactions.
- Support ERP integration and improvements to financial reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and standardize accounting procedures.
Profile
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally as an Accountant or GL Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of BE GAAP, VAT, and financial closing.
- Experience with acquisitions, finance integration, or process improvement is advantageous.
- Confident working across AP, AR, and GL accounting.
- ERP experience (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
- Fluent Dutch and professional English.
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in a changing environment.
