Portfolio & Strategic Resource Management Professional
For a leading organization within the energy sector, an experienced professional is sought to combine strategic portfolio steering, capacity management, chain control, and organizational development. The department manages approximately 100 complex infrastructural projects with a combined annual investment volume of around €450 million. The role involves translating investment plans into an executable, predictable, and future-proof portfolio.
You operate at the intersection of strategy and execution and are an important sparring partner for management and the board. Simultaneously, you will build a future-proof planning function where portfolio, resource, and capacity management are integrally managed.
What you will do.
- Steer an integral portfolio of approximately 100 infrastructural projects
- Translate investment programs into a realistic implementation and capacity strategy
- Develop long-term scenarios for capacity, resources, and portfolio development
- Provide insight into dependencies between projects, resources, materials, permits, and land positions
- Identify future bottlenecks and develop concrete solution scenarios
- Prepare strategic decision-making for management and the board
- Manage collaboration within the entire realization chain
- Strengthen cooperation with external partners, including contractors and suppliers
- Promote planning stability, predictability, and transparency within the portfolio
- Further professionalize Strategic Resource Management and Workforce Management
- Set up and improve processes, governance, responsibilities
- Guide change processes and ensure sustainable implementation
- Utilize data and management information to provide insight into performance, risks, and improvement opportunities
Profile
- Academic working and thinking level
- Minimum 10 years of experience with strategic planning, portfolio steering, program management, or capacity management
- Experience within an asset-intensive, infrastructural, or technical environment
- Experience with extensive investment programs or project portfolios
- Demonstrable experience with strategic decision-making at board, executive, or director level
- Leadership experience within complex organizations
- Experience with change management and organizational development
- Experience with Strategic Resource Management (SRM), Workforce Management (WFM), or similar disciplines
