This challenging interim assignment is within an international pharmaceutical organization.
- The location focuses on development activities and features laboratories, technical installations, and supporting facilities.
- Facilities & Engineering plays an important role in ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient working environment.
- The organization seeks temporary specialized support to assess current processes and to set up facilities and technical services in a future-proof manner.
What you will do.
- You will assess the current facilities and engineering organization and advise on an efficient, safe, and future-proof setup of operations.
- You will conduct an independent audit of the Facilities & Engineering organization.
- You will identify technical and operational risks related to buildings, laboratories, equipment, and utilities.
- You will verify whether measures regarding decommissioning and energy saving have been correctly implemented.
- You will investigate possibilities to simplify operations and responsibly reduce costs, without compromising safety and continuity.
- You will evaluate existing maintenance and repair services and advise on a suitable operational model and appropriate suppliers.
- You will consider the nature of the location as a development site without foreseen GMP production activities.
- You will develop a simple and practical system for monitoring maintenance and repairs.
- You will work closely with the site manager and translate findings into concrete, actionable recommendations.
- As you gather a lot of information on-site, you will primarily be present at the facility.
Profile
- A completed technical HBO or university education, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
- Preferably at least 5 years of relevant work experience within Facilities & Engineering, technical management, or maintenance management.
- Demonstrable experience with technical audits, risk assessments, maintenance processes, and supplier management, preferably within a laboratory or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, combined with technical insight and the ability to implement practical improvements.
- An independent, critical, and results-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality and good communication skills.
- A good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
