As a programmer-analyst, you ensure that operational data is processed and used accurately, timely, and reliably. You work at the intersection of applications, data, and reporting, with a key focus on data exchange with the IMA.
What you do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data flows to the IMA and oversee accurate and timely data exchange.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of online and batch applications within an IBM Mainframe z/OS environment using CICS, PL/I, and DB2.
- Handle operational data queries, incidents, and support requests via the ticketing system.
- Investigate root causes, provide clear feedback, and escalate complex or structural issues to the appropriate specialist.
- Collaborate with team leads, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts to translate business data and reporting needs into workable solutions.
- Handle testing and technical documentation and contribute to the quality, continuity, and further automation of data processing.
- Work on a project basis, set priorities, and communicate transparently about the progress of assignments and tickets.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications through relevant experience.
- Experience developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining online and batch applications on IBM Mainframe z/OS within a CICS, PL/I, and DB2 environment.
- Work with precision and understand the importance of accurate, timely, and reliable data exchange with the IMA.
- Analyze problems in a structured manner and seek pragmatic, sustainable solutions.
- Work independently, set priorities, and take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of your work.
