Project Manager Public Space Coordinator

North BrabantHybrid24 hours/week>12months

The role is within a civil engineering department of a municipal organization and contributes to the realization of new public spaces developed by external developers. These spaces will eventually be transferred to the municipal organization for management and maintenance. The basis for this is formed by intention agreements (IOK) and anterior agreements (AOK).

You will work according to project phases of project-based work, with your role explicitly focusing on coordination, alignment, and review of various sub-products. You ensure that the public space meets municipal requirements, so that it can be responsibly taken into management. As a Project Manager / Public Space Coordinator, you are responsible for organizing and monitoring the process surrounding the creation of public spaces within facilitating development projects.

Your role is primarily coordinating and not executive or financially responsible.

What you do

  • Gathering, aligning, and integrating project-specific requirements for public spaces and translating them into concrete and verifiable principles for plans, in line with policy frameworks and management requirements (Program of Requirements).
  • Coordinating the integral review process for designs, specifications, and other project products from developers for public spaces.
  • Organizing and chairing meetings between developers, management departments, and internal disciplines for public spaces.
  • Managing the public space assessment team (representing all relevant disciplines) and ensuring an integral assessment.
  • Monitoring progress, quality, and coherence within the review and decision-making process.
  • Identifying bottlenecks and initiating improvements in process and collaboration.
  • Ensuring that plans comply with policy frameworks, guidelines, and management requirements (PVE).
  • Guiding the public space trajectory from development through transfer to management.
  • Ensuring a clear municipal response to developers regarding review results.
