UX Designer
A government organization is looking for a UX designer to contribute to the user-friendly and accessible design of a digital portal. Through this portal, citizens can submit their claims for compensation and track their progress. The Communication department, in collaboration with development and project teams, is responsible for the design and further development of this portal.
What you will do.
- Design and improve user-friendly user flows and interfaces for the portal.
- Translate user needs into concrete UX solutions.
- Develop designs in Figma according to applicable templates and guidelines.
- Analyze and evaluate designs for user-friendliness, accessibility, structure, and consistency, and translate the outcomes into concrete design improvements.
- Coordinate design choices with relevant development, project, and communication teams, considering the technical and organizational feasibility of the delivered designs.
- Coordinate the necessary content with editors and translate it into understandable and target-group-oriented content.
- Contribute to the development and application of UX standards, templates, and design principles within the organization.
- Document relevant design choices, starting points, and results for application and transfer.
The assignment is completed when:
- The main user flows within the portal have been developed and optimized, demonstrably incorporating the needs of the target group, user-friendliness, and accessibility.
- The associated interfaces and screens have been developed in Figma and comply with the organization's applicable templates, guidelines, and design principles.
- The designs have been coordinated with the relevant development, project, and communication teams and found to be technically and organizationally feasible.
- The user flows and designs have been tested for user-friendliness, comprehensibility, accessibility, and consistency, and improved where necessary.
- Collaboration with editors has resulted in understandable and target-group-oriented content that aligns with the designed user flows.
- Existing UX standards, templates, and design principles have been evaluated and, where necessary, refined or supplemented.
- Improvements contribute to a consistent and accessible user experience within the portal and enable applicants to independently and understandably submit their claim for compensation.
What they ask
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, demonstrable via CV.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a UX designer within a (semi-)government organization, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience with independently designing and developing UX designs in Figma, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.
- Completed UX training, demonstrable via CV.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience in an environment with multiple regulations, processes, and implementation chains, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.
- Demonstrable experience with applying accessibility principles within UX design, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.
- Demonstrable work experience within a specific dossier related to mining damage.
