As an outreach worker with systemic expertise, you step into the lives of families. You work with young people, parents, and their network to create peace, safety, and perspective, even in complex situations. You will be trained in the Relational Family Therapy (RFT) methodology and learn to apply it directly in your work.
What you do
- You establish genuine contact and offer appropriate information, advice, and support to children, young people, and their families from a multi-partial perspective.
- You look beyond the initial request for help and connect with everyone's lived experience, knowing how to reach young people and adapt to their way of communicating.
- You use your systemic view to understand behavior in relation to its context, creating trust and overview in sometimes complex situations.
- You provide outreach support and work with the family and their network, liaising with parents, schools, and other partners.
- You pay attention to factors such as peer pressure, online dynamics, family, faith, identity, and safety.
- You follow the RFT training and apply what you've learned directly, with room for learning and development.
- You create a feasible support plan together with the young person and the family, monitor safety, identify risks, and dare to act when the situation demands it.
- You conduct difficult conversations and remain firm in complex or unsafe situations.
- You follow developments in your field, contribute to discussions and team moments, and actively build your network.
- You reflect on your own actions and are open to feedback.
Profile
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree relevant to youth care.
- Quality registration with SKJ.
- Familiarity with the forensic target group and approach/methodology.
- Willingness to follow the Relational Family Therapy (RFT) training.
- Experience with outreach work in urban areas.
- Experience with diverse living environments and communities.
- Availability 7 days a week.
- Ability to take charge, systemic insight, and a strong environmental focus.
- Resourceful, able to handle stressful situations well.
- Excellent reporting skills for accurate and meticulous work.
Practical
- Start with a one-year contract, with the prospect of permanent employment.
- Salary according to CAO Jeugdzorg Scale 10.
