As a Data Engineer, you automate processes on a platform that brings together cameras, sensors, and systems. This ecosystem extends from data centers to mobile command centers and rapid response vehicles. You contribute to building a platform that continuously delivers sensor data to a national security organization.
What you will do.
- Develop, manage, and automate a platform that brings together sensor data for the organization
- Build and maintain data pipelines, connect data sources, and transform data into actionable information
- Implement and optimize solutions on the platform and other connected applications
- Design robust OTAP environments and safely bring systems into production
- Develop automated monitoring and predictive analytics to ensure platform performance and availability
- Analyze and resolve complex incidents and disruptions, including Root Cause Analysis and applying self-healing solutions
What they ask
- A completed HBO or WO education (higher professional education or university education)
- Several years of work experience with developing and managing systems in environments including VMware, Nutanix, Linux OS, and Windows Server
- Knowledge of information security frameworks such as BIO, ISO27001, and NIST-II, and experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with automating processes using, for example, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Elastic
Preferences.
- Relevant certifications (Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Python, Elastic)
- Post-academic training such as Data Engineering, Data & Analytics, or Certified Data Engineering Professional (CDEP)
- Demonstrable skills in writing scripts such as Python and SQL
