This is a collection of applications and functionalities to effectively manage the water supply network. The core of NRM is a GIS system (Smallworld). Spatial data (GIS) will become increasingly important in the future. Functionalities are becoming smarter, and data needs to be more up-to-date.
The NRM team ensures that the systems perform correctly every day, guarantees the continuity of the platform for the future, and implements every release improvement that benefits stability.
What you do
As a software engineer, you are involved in managing and developing the NRM system and a Digital Collaboration Platform.
- Participate in various projects.
- Ensure the maintainability of development code.
- Implement new developments.
- Build and optimize frontend and backend functionality.
- Improve application performance and stability.
- Translate requirements into test cases and automate these tests.
- Actively contribute to technical choices and quality improvements within the team.
Profile
You are able to manage and develop the code, together with the senior administrator and developer. The team focuses on optimally supporting users so they can perform their work safely and efficiently. You work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to both frontend and backend. You collaborate closely with the senior administrator/developer of this application and with colleagues from the NRM and GIS teams. The NRM and GIS teams are small teams consisting of internal and external employees.
The roles filled in the teams are technical administrator, functional administrator, and lead engineer. You also have regular contact with specialists from various other departments, such as system and network administration.

- Preferably an HBO diploma in the field of computer science.
