Curator

• Contribute to making (scientific) knowledge about the collection and the museum's history accessible.
• Conduct research and write scientific and public-friendly texts.
• Give guided tours and lectures.
• Facilitate outgoing loans and answer public inquiries.
• Be part of project groups for temporary exhibitions (twice a year).
• Be responsible for the content realization of exhibitions, including content, composition, requesting loans, producing publications, and maintaining contact with external stakeholders.
• Support other curators in their activities.
• Be involved in activities and projects outside your own area of focus in collaboration with other departments.

What they ask

• Completed art history degree (master, drs) with demonstrable knowledge of 16th and 17th-century Dutch and Flemish painting.
• Extensive experience as a curator and with project-based work on exhibitions.
• Proven qualities as an editor and copywriter (accessible writing and good editing).
• Communicatively skilled, both verbally and in writing, in Dutch and English to engage various stakeholders.
• An antenna for societal developments and the ability to integrate them into daily practice.
• A creative and well-organized team player who shows initiative.
