An experienced Team Leader Acute Psychiatry is sought for a specialized mental healthcare organization. You will be responsible for two teams: the High & Intensive Care (HIC) and the Intensive Home Treatment (IHT) team. Both teams provide intensive psychiatric care, but each from a different setting. The HIC offers clinical care to clients in an acute psychiatric crisis, while the IHT team organizes treatment and guidance in the home situation.
As a team leader, you connect these two forms of care and ensure clarity, continuity, and good cooperation. You are visibly present, know what is going on within the teams, and provide employees with guidance in a work environment where situations can change quickly. In addition, you not only lead daily practice but also guide the teams through future changes. An important development is the planned centralization of the HIC.
The organization works according to the principles of Secure Base Leadership, combining trust and professional autonomy with clear frameworks and expectations. You support employees in their development and address them when the situation requires it.
What you do
- Ensure peace, structure, and continuity within both teams
- Strengthen cooperation between clinical and outpatient care
- Create and monitor a socially and physically safe working environment
- Guide employees and teams through organizational changes
- Conduct and coordinate annual performance reviews and absenteeism discussions
- Monitor staffing levels, deployability, and financial frameworks
- Timely identify bottlenecks and translate them into practical solutions
- Collaborate with the treatment manager and the operational manager
- Involve employees in the development towards a centralized HIC
- Fulfill the role of location coordinator for emergency response (BHV), as the HIC team also acts as the BHV team
Profile
We are looking for an accessible and strong leader with experience in teams within a complex work environment. You are visible without taking over everything and give professionals the space to take responsibility. You listen well but also dare to make clear decisions. When pressure increases, you maintain an overview and continue to communicate calmly. You pay attention to individual employees and the development of the team as a whole.
Preferably, you have experience in mental healthcare, acute care, or a similar care environment. More importantly, you understand what leading professionals requires and can carefully guide changes.

- Completed HBO-V, Social Work, SPH, MWD, or a substantively comparable HBO education
- Extensive experience as a team leader within a complex or dynamic organization
