For an international industrial organization, active in material technology and metal recycling, we are looking for an HR Business Partner for a temporary replacement assignment. You will strengthen the People & Organization team and combine HR business partnering, project management, and operational and administrative support. You will independently take on these three components; priorities will shift according to the organization's needs.

  • Update and implement the work regulations, with the necessary alignment and follow-up.
  • Translate a diversity project into concrete actions tailored to the industrial site.
  • Follow up on the employee survey: support communication, translate feedback into improvement actions, and monitor execution.
  • Independently handle complex personnel files: prepare and conduct interviews, align with managers, and, where necessary, consult with employee representatives and trade unions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and handle administrative processing.
  • Support workforce planning, the annual budget cycle, and HR reporting, including consolidation in a planning system.
  • Prepare and follow up on topics for the works council.
  • Practically support the HR Project Manager and the team: prepare presentations, reports, and project documentation, follow up on action plans, and help implement HR processes and organizational changes.

What they ask

  • At least 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, of which at least 5 years in an industrial environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading HR projects, with independent responsibility for coordination, execution, and implementation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, psychology, or social sciences, or equivalent by experience.
  • Independent application of Belgian social legislation and labor law in concrete personnel files.
  • Experience with employee representatives and trade unions and diplomatic and confidential handling of sensitive files.
  • Familiarity with workforce planning, budgeting, and HR reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Fluent communication in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Combines substantive HR advice with practical execution and takes on the associated administration.
  • Organizes multiple files and projects simultaneously, independently sets priorities, and monitors deadlines with changing needs.
  • Quickly builds trust and support among managers, employees, and social partners.

Practical

  • Employment in an industrial environment, without required travel for the assignment.
  • Collaboration with the local HR team, managers, and specialized HR teams.
