Technical application administrator

As a technical application administrator, you ensure that applications continue to run, even when systems are migrated, connections falter, or an incident occurs. You delve into the technology, find the cause, and together with your colleagues, ensure a sustainable solution.

The IT service provider is one of the largest ICT service providers within the Dutch government. What you do

  • Responsible for the technical continuity and development of applications.
  • Work independently on complex issues, but also actively collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Manage applications in both Linux and Windows environments and ensure stable and secure functionality.
  • Guide and implement application migrations to new versions of Linux and Windows.
  • Analyze and resolve technical incidents and ensure structural solutions are found.
  • Work with connections between different systems and ensure they remain reliable.
  • Manage and renew certificates, with an eye for the continuity and security of the applications.
  • Work according to Agile principles and use a Kanban board to visualize tasks and determine priorities.

  • Explain technical problems understandably.
  • Actively keep colleagues and stakeholders informed.

What they ask

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with technical application administration in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Certification in an ICT-oriented professional training.
  • Certification in Oracle Database I and II.
  • Certification in Cisco CCNA Exploration 1 to 4.

Preferences.

  • Experience working for the Government.
  • Experience in writing ICT training material, with concrete examples in CV.
  • Experience in documentation management, with concrete examples in CV.
  • Experience with Agile working.
