An international purchasing center, specializing in sourcing and supplying products, equipment, technical supplies, and spare parts for an international professional clientele, is looking for a Procurement & Sales Officer. The organization primarily supports companies active in the mining, industrial, civil engineering, automotive, and agricultural sectors, with a strong presence in Africa.
The role is to identify the most suitable, reliable, and competitive supply solutions from suppliers in Europe and internationally.
What you do
- Process client requests and RFQs
- Identify and select suitable suppliers
- Source products, equipment, technical supplies, and spare parts
- Consult and compare supplier offers
- Negotiate prices, deadlines, and commercial terms
- Build complete and competitive commercial offers
- Ensure follow-up of offers and client reminders
- Maintain regular contact with clients
- Understand client needs and propose suitable solutions
- Encode and update requests, items, suppliers, and offers in the ERP system
- Respond to tenders and submissions on client platforms
- Participate in improving sourcing and offer processing methods
- Gradually support junior profiles in their skill development
Profile
- Ideally 7 to 10 years of experience in a role such as Sales, Procurement, International Sales, Technical Sales, Spare Parts Sales, or Sourcing, with strong exposure to international B2B
- Capable of autonomously managing a client request from RFQ reception to offer submission and follow-up
- Highly operational profile, capable of efficient sourcing, negotiation, building competitive offers, and maintaining a quality commercial relationship with clients
- Rigorous and organized
- Autonomous and proactive
- Client and results-oriented
- Comfortable with numbers and negotiation
- Able to manage multiple requests simultaneously
- Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and IT tools
- Able to work in an international and demanding environment
- Experience in spare parts, industrial equipment, civil engineering machinery, mining, automotive, or agricultural sectors is a real asset
- Knowledge of the African market or professional experience with clients or suppliers in Africa is also appreciated
- Good command of professional English is required
- Management experience is an advantage but not essential
