An educational institution is looking for a part-time Accountancy Practice Assistant for the Student Guidance service of a faculty. This service supports students, primarily in the first phase of their bachelor's program.
What you will do.
- Help students, mainly in the first year of the bachelor's program, process the subject matter of the 'Accountancy' course.
- Within a didactic team, provide education based on in-depth subject matter and didactic expertise to students within an adapted learning environment.
- Be responsible for practical sessions and tutoring sessions, where the subject matter is repeated and practiced.
- Provide supply-driven and demand-driven study guidance and learning process guidance/coaching for students, in interaction with other campuses and service providers.
- Receive students with individual questions, both content-related and regarding study skills (method and planning).
- Be involved in the entire evaluation cycle of the relevant courses: preparing exams (or other interim evaluations), logistics, supervision, grading, and review and feedback moments.
- Be part of a team of study counselors who, in addition to subject matter and learning process guidance, also provide first-line advice to students when making informed choices during their study career.
- Form an accessible first point of contact for (first-year) students with questions outside the subject matter or learning process domain (psychosocial, administrative, student facilities, etc.), requiring warm, efficient, and targeted referral.
- Actively participate in training and initiatives related to educational innovation, educational technology, and orientation, reception, activation, and guidance of students.
Profile
- Strong analytical skills and in-depth subject matter knowledge.
- Preferably a master's degree in applied economic sciences, commercial sciences, economic sciences, business engineering, or business engineering in management information systems.
- Clear interest in education.
- Patient and student-oriented: able to motivate students to develop good study habits and methods.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Proactive and enjoys taking initiative, and willing to apply this in organizing and offering a stimulating learning environment.
