Housing Manager

Contribute to building future-proof childcare locations throughout the Netherlands. You will be part of the Real Estate & Facility team, which is in full development. Together with colleagues, you will work on further professionalizing and optimizing services and work processes.

What you will do. As Housing Manager, you will ensure that buildings function safely, comfortably, and technically reliably. You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of all building-related installations and ensure that these are maintained in a timely manner. You will monitor the planning and execution of legal inspections and checks and ensure that any shortcomings are quickly resolved.

In addition, you will be the driving force behind optimal fire safety, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Together with suppliers, maintenance parties, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure that the locations always meet the established quality requirements.

  • Co-develop and translate housing policy that aligns with the mission and organizational goals.
  • Prepare programs of requirements (PvE) and guide tender and negotiation processes.
  • Manage and optimize contracts with suppliers, with input from the service desk, locations, and project leaders.
  • Coordinate renovations, refurbishments, and new construction projects related to your field: from planning to delivery.
  • Initiate and implement sustainable solutions and actively monitor trends within real estate and installations.
  • Report to the Real Estate & Facility team leader on progress, performance, and developments.
  • Management of the technical service (5 FTE).
  • Update DMJOPs.
  • Hands-on direction.

Profile

  • Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in civil engineering, real estate management, facility management, or business administration. Work experience can compensate for HBO level.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in housing, facility management, or a similar role.
  • Strong in process development, analysis, and monitoring of real estate portfolios.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of real estate, installations, fire safety, and sustainability.
  • Can plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicates clearly and knows how to connect and convince internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented and continuously engaged in improving processes and services.
  • Well-informed about relevant rental, construction, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience within an organization with a large real estate portfolio is a plus.
  • Stress-resistant and comfortable in a dynamic organization.
  • Possesses a B driving license and a personal car.
