A hospital group, accredited by JCI, serves as a reference healthcare institution for the region.

It is a multilingual general hospital offering comprehensive care across two hospital sites and two polyclinics.
The laboratory's activities are spread across two sites and have been ISO 15189 accredited since 2020, covering both hospital and outpatient activities.
You will join a team of dynamic biologists in a laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art automated systems.

What you do

Management, organization, and supervision of the hematology/hemostasis technical platform, including hematology, hematological cytology, hemostasis, immunohematology, and flow cytometry.
Management, organization, and supervision of the different phases of the analytical process:
Pre-analytical phase: sampling, transport, encoding, sample processing.
Analytical phase.
Post-analytical phase: interpretation, biological validation, and transmission of results.
Implementation and supervision of analyses related to various sub-sectors.
Management of quality controls (internal and external).
Development, evaluation, and improvement of new techniques.
Contact with prescribing physicians (internal and external): needs assessment, assistance with prescription, and interpretation of results.
Training of clinical biology assistants.
Supervision of laboratory personnel (technical and scientific support).
Active participation in the quality system.
Active participation in cross-functional activities and various laboratory projects (computerized prescriptions, quality management, logistics management, etc.).
Participation in the polyvalent on-call duty: multisectoral biological supervision and validation.

You are a physician/pharmacist specialized in Clinical Biology with a focus on hematology, but also possess versatile training in medical biochemistry and microbiology.
You are dynamic and ready to commit to the continuous improvement of the service and the quality of patient care.
Interpersonal skills, flexibility, analytical and initiative spirit, sense of responsibility, and team spirit are essential.
Continuous training to update knowledge is indispensable.
You are fluent in French and Dutch or, if necessary, willing to undertake training to perfect your knowledge of the second language.
Knowledge of IT tools and molecular biology are assets.
