Data Engineer

The organization is on the verge of a massive growth acceleration and is data-driven. As a Data Engineer, you will build the foundation upon which the entire company makes its decisions: a robust Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and scalable data pipelines that convert raw signals into strategic intelligence.

What you will do.

• Anticipate scalability needs for the next 12-24 months and hands-on lead the setup, coding, and tuning of this infrastructure.
• Determine the speed and stability of data flows.
• Be the owner and main builder of the data platform with Databricks as the central hub.
• Focus on database architecture, performance tuning, and optimizing query execution times.
• Build core pipelines, set up new API integrations, and seamlessly connect tools like Segment (CDP) for smart customer segmentation.
• Monitor 99.9% uptime and adhere to all security and privacy guidelines.
• Liaise directly with the Head of Data and act as a technical authority, helping junior and medior engineers grow through on-the-job support.
• Deliver an indestructible foundation that analysts rely on, ensuring rapid growth remains manageable and profitable.

What they ask

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within a SaaS environment.
• In-depth experience with Databricks, Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), and complex ETL processes.
• Expert in pipeline engineering, building API connections, and database optimization (performance tuning).
• A proactive 'Craft Authority' who anticipates scalability issues, enjoys hands-on building, and technically mentors colleagues.
• Minimum HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) working and thinking level.
