Design and realize high-voltage installations that directly contribute to the energy transition in a specific region. You bear the technical responsibility from the first concept to handover for execution and ensure quality through structured engineering processes and reliable grid calculations.
You work on energy infrastructure projects, such as grid reinforcements and new substations, continuously coordinating with project management, execution, and other disciplines to deliver safe, feasible solutions in high-voltage technology. You will work for a large technical service provider and consulting and engineering firm, active within the (sustainable) energy sector.
The organization focuses on electrical engineering projects in energy technology with a strong emphasis on the design, realization, and maintenance of complex energy infrastructures. Projects range from grid reinforcements and new construction of high-voltage substations to implementing smart monitoring and control solutions for a future-proof energy grid.
You work in multidisciplinary project teams, where electrical engineering, civil engineering, and control technology come together for integrated solutions that contribute to a reliable, sustainable energy supply.
What you will do.
- Translate functional designs into smart, technically robust solutions for high-voltage installations
- Perform and/or manage the engineering of high-voltage grids and associated systems
- Prepare feasible plans and technical documentation according to a structured engineering approach
- Perform and evaluate reliable grid calculations to ensure capacity, safety, and operational reliability
- Coordinate the technical scope with project leaders, implementers, and other involved stakeholders
- Collaborate with various technical disciplines on integrated solutions for energy infrastructure
- Monitor technical quality during the design and execution phases and identify risks in a timely manner
What they ask
- Completed HBO or university degree in electrical engineering or energy technology
- Demonstrable project experience with engineering of high-voltage installations and relevant software systems
- Experience with managing and coaching an engineering team in a project environment, or an equivalent role
- Professional proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical skills and ability to thoroughly assess technical risks
- Results-oriented, proactive team player with convincing communication skills towards internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and structured manner
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations within high-voltage technology
- Experience with structured engineering processes and common project management methodologies, or the willingness to quickly acquire them
