Administrative assistant transition point
The administrative assistant supports a team focused on compulsory education and transition by accurately processing reports, managing administrative processes, maintaining contacts, and ensuring a representative, efficient, and transparent working method. The goal is to provide professional support to compulsory education officers and transition coaches, enabling them to focus on their legal tasks within a government organization.
What you do
- Administrative support and work processes
- Daily representative and physical support for compulsory education officers and transition coaches
- Distributing absenteeism and early school leaving (VSV) reports
- Conducting initial research into work processes for several compulsory education and RMC laws
- Monitoring ongoing exemptions and anticipating them
- Administratively handling official reports (Processen verbaal)
- Performing secretarial duties for the team
- Participating in internal and external work meetings
- Providing overviews of absenteeism reports
- Requesting and reporting civil affairs investigations to compulsory education
- Performing supporting tasks for the senior compulsory education and DSP, the quality officer, and the manager
- General support tasks for LP/DSP
- Replenishing supplies for general administrative processing
- Acting in accordance with the WPG law
- Collecting and processing incoming mail
- Managing the general mailbox and phone
- Scheduling initial meetings and school visits
- Assessing and answering/registering simple questions from schools, parents, young people, and chain partners; referring if necessary
- Drafting representative correspondence (letters, decisions, invitations, accompanying emails)
- Maintaining contact with absenteeism staff from schools
- Identifying and reporting bottlenecks in administrative processes
- Actively contributing to and collaborating on process optimization (Lean working)
- Contributing to the change process and the optimization of evolving issues
- Managing the Case Management System for administration
- Agenda planning and reserving meeting rooms/spaces
- Managing holiday schedules and birthday calendars
- Creating overviews of reports and their distribution among employees
- Ensuring an even distribution of reports (DSP, VSV, absenteeism)
- Supporting senior compulsory education, DSP, quality officer

- Up-to-date and complete registration in the systems
- Efficient administrative processes, with an eye for improvement
- Proactive signaling of risks and bottlenecks
What they ask
- Demonstrable work experience as an administrative assistant with RMC legislation, VSV (Early School Leaving), and the School Act
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of MBO 4 level
Desired.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience within a team focused on compulsory education and transition
- Demonstrable work experience with a student tracking system, linked to a transition point
- Demonstrably completed administrative or secretarial education at a minimum of MBO 4 level
- Demonstrable work experience with independently managing administrative files and monitoring legal deadlines
