A provincial government organization is working on societal challenges such as the liveability of rural areas, nature conservation, and future-proof agriculture. Communication plays a key role in this.
- Communication advisors are sought with strategic insight and a creative approach to achieve impactful communication on topics such as nature restoration, water, and emission reduction.
What you will do.
- You will work on the communication and participation approach for specific programs and visions.
- Your advice will ensure that residents, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders are well-informed and involved in developments.
- You will work on an area-specific communication strategy that aligns with the unique challenges and opportunities in specific regions.
- Together with the environmental manager, you will develop and implement an effective communication and participation plan.
- You will actively build a strong network with colleagues from other organizations.
- You will ensure that area processes are visible and that the organization clearly and recognizably profiles itself.
- You will contribute to the broader communication strategy and advise on impactful communication issues.
- You will align your strategy for programs.
- You will contribute your expertise and think about creative and effective ways to reach and involve residents, agricultural entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.
- You will create area-specific communication plans and contribute to the development of participation plans.
- You will switch quickly, ask critical questions, and ensure that the approach is not only clear but also feasible.
- You will develop resources in coordination with the press office and/or the media team.
- You will coordinate with the media team on campaigns around new subsidy schemes and work with the spokesperson on press releases.
- You will ensure that information is up-to-date on a relevant website.
Profile
- You are an experienced communication advisor who advises clearly and convincingly.
- You effortlessly switch between different interests and know how to make complex subjects accessible to various target groups.
- You have a proactive and results-oriented approach.
What they ask
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a communication advisor at a government institution.
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years as a communication advisor with rural areas and themes such as rural development, agriculture, nature restoration, or climate adaptation, illustrated with examples in work experience.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience with conducting campaigns within a government institution.
- Demonstrably completed education in the field of communication at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a communication advisor with rural areas and themes such as rural development, agriculture, nature restoration, or climate adaptation, illustrated with examples in work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a communication advisor at a government institution.
