Weekend supervisor for young people with disabilities

As a supervisor, you support children and young people with autism or a motor or auditory disability, both individually and in a living group, within a safe and homely environment. You do this during the weekend. You help them develop social and civic skills, organize activities, and address care needs, always guided by the action plan. You work closely with a weekend team and contribute to a warm and safe environment. You also perform a number of administrative tasks, such as making reports and schedules.

Profile

  • You have a diploma in a human sciences field, preferably as an educator or supervisor, or equivalent experience. Your competencies and motivation are more important than your diploma.
  • You have a big heart for vulnerable young people and align your actions with their developmental needs.
  • Knowledge of the target group and Flemish Sign Language is a significant asset.
  • You are positive, realistic, and have a good dose of humor and patience.
  • You are a team player and enjoy open dialogue.
  • You work methodically, planned, and goal-oriented, and you write reports professionally.
  • You work according to the mission of a care organization.
