User Experience Designer

UtrechtHybrid36 hours/week3-6months

You will help create a consistent and scalable digital experience across products and services. The organization already has a mature design system, but there is still work to be done around design patterns, platform conventions, and reusable design guidance. Relevant knowledge is currently distributed across different files, products, historical decisions, and subject-matter experts.

The successful candidate will bring this distributed knowledge together and create a shared source of truth that makes design standards easier to find, understand, and apply.

What you will do. You will work within a design platform team. Your main responsibility will be to document, structure, and standardize reusable design patterns across a complex digital ecosystem. You will organize existing design knowledge so it can be reused by designers, product teams, and stakeholders. • Identify and analyze knowledge from multiple sources, including:
  • Designers
  • Stakeholders

  • Interaction principles
  • Trade-offs and constraints
  • Product examples
  • Connect patterns with journeys, components, and related documentation.
  • Identify conflicting implementations, missing decisions, and unclear ownership.
  • Advise which areas require further standardization or design exploration.
  • Ensure documentation is easy for humans to understand and suitable for AI-assisted search, discovery, and retrieval.
