Data steward
In a region, healthcare and welfare organizations, municipalities, and health insurers collaborate within a regional partnership. The shared goal is to help people live as healthy and independent a life as possible. The partners offer care and support where needed and try to prevent problems where possible. This starts with reliable and well-organized data.
Within the digitalization pillar, a data workspace is being developed: a regional facility for joint analyses, where source data, where possible, remains with the original organization. This provides insight into what works and where improvements are possible.
What you do
As a data steward, you ensure that data can be found, understood, used reliably, and securely. You are the first point of contact for questions regarding definitions, metadata, data quality, and governance agreements within the regional data workspace. In doing so, you connect organizations, processes, and information, so that joint analyses are based on unambiguous and reliable data.
You identify differences in definitions, registration practices, and data quality, and guide involved parties in making joint agreements. You also prepare use-case dossiers and functional governance guidelines and align them with local data owners and other stakeholders. This ensures that organizations speak the same language when it comes to data. You work closely with data analysts, subject matter experts, and representatives of the affiliated organizations.
Where the data analyst extracts insights from data, you focus on the agreements, definitions, quality, and governance required for this. Together, you build a solid data foundation, ensuring privacy and security, for the future of healthcare. There is still much to set up and further develop.
What they ask You are energized by structuring, collaborating, and improving data quality. You understand that good analyses start with good data agreements. With your keen eye, you quickly see where definitions differ, processes can be improved, or data quality issues require attention. You feel at home in an environment where organizations collaborate on shared goals and are energized by developing agreements that contribute to reliable and future-proof data exchange.
