As a project leader in spatial development, you are responsible for managing various projects within a government organization. You work on major spatial developments, such as new residential areas, business parks, and areas where living, working, energy, and facilities converge. This is done both on the initiative of the organization itself and on the initiative of third parties.
What you do
- You form project teams and guide colleagues in the course that is set out.
- In the initiation phase, you work on a clear strategy and an action plan to implement spatial plans and management tasks.
- You conduct discussions with initiators and stakeholders.
- You ensure administrative and political support.
- You smoothly switch between residents, developers, provincial and national authorities, housing corporations, and your administrative and political client.
- You always maintain an overview of the content, planning, and process.
Profile
- You are an experienced project leader with a proactive attitude.
- You easily switch between strategy and implementation, between administration and residents.
- You are politically sensitive, results-oriented, and know how to create support.
- You enjoy working collaboratively, can delegate well, and maintain an overview.
- You have natural authority, are a strong communicator, and know how to keep projects realistic and feasible.
What they ask
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 6 years as a project leader with spatial projects.
- Demonstrable work experience with relevant legislation and procedures within the spatial planning domain of a government organization.
Preferences.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience within area development, such as housing construction and business locations.
- Demonstrable work experience with resistance from environments due to, for example, political interests.
- Demonstrable work experience with designing and finalizing participation processes with residents, stakeholders, and/or development partners.
- Demonstrable work experience with collaboration in complex public-private partnerships, including housing corporations and/or governments.
