The organization provides care for young people aged 13 to 18 who have often experienced significant challenges. They require structure and regularity. This role demands specific knowledge and skills. The young people are supervised 24/7, enabling them to live independently from the age of 18 in a reception center, their country of origin, or their own home in the Netherlands.
What you will do.
- Conduct regular mentor interviews with the young people as a dedicated supervisor.
- Maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as guardians, schools, and general practitioners.
- Ensure a safe and livable residential environment.
- Be a visible point of contact for the young people.
- Collaborate closely within a team with a positive working atmosphere.
- Participate in meetings and intervision sessions to ensure quality.
What they ask
- Education: HBO diploma (e.g., Social Work, Social Work and Services, SPH, Pedagogy, or Applied Psychology).
- SKJ registration or the possibility to register in the short term.
- Work experience: preferably in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
- Personality: be resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries.
- Flexibility: available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts). This is a strict requirement for this position.
- Always work with at least one other colleague.
- Candidates with a relevant MBO diploma combined with an SKJ registration are also welcome to apply.

- Salary: minimum € 3,590.34 and maximum € 4,978.19 gross per month, based on 36 hours.
- Entitlement to irregular hours allowance and annual salary growth within the scale.
- Employment: initially a one-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract afterwards.
- Secondary employment conditions: travel allowance (€0.25 per km), individual choice budget (IKB) of 18% of the annual salary, pension scheme, career budget, and vitality hours.
- Holiday leave: 144 hours for a full-time employment + the option to purchase 26 extra hours of leave from the IKB.
- Development: career budget of 1.5% of your monthly salary for, for example, training or education.
- Pre-employment screening: application for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), diploma and certificate verification, and identity check.
- The organization is a Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers, active since 1994.
