Employee Participation Coordinator

Working for a large public organization means contributing to national security. The organization supports colleagues domestically and internationally with equipment, supplies, and IT. Employee participation is essential for an organization where employees can have a say and influence developments.

What you will do. As an Employee Participation Coordinator, you will ensure that employee participation is well-organized and professionally supported. You will advise management and various directorates on employee participation and applicable regulations. You will also be an important point of contact for employee participation committees and heads of service units.

  • Advise on relevant regulations.
  • Guide employee participation committees and answer their questions.
  • Prepare and support consultations between management and employee participation.
  • Supervise elections and monitor procedures.
  • Mediate in (potential) disputes between management and employee participation.
  • Coordinate training and education for employee participation bodies.
  • Monitor developments within employee participation and translate them to the organization.
  • Draft advice, memos, and management reports.
  • Represent the department in organization-wide consultations, working groups, and networks.
  • Strengthen knowledge sharing and communication about employee participation within the department.

What they ask We are looking for an experienced advisor who maintains an overview, easily makes contact, and can handle different interests well.

  • Completed relevant HBO degree.
  • Extensive experience with advising.
  • Experience working within a higher staff.
  • Experience with employee participation, e.g., as a member of an employee participation committee.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and connect different interests.
  • Good negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Organizational sensitivity.
  • An independent, results-oriented, and connecting work attitude.
  • Proficiency in the English language.

Preferences.

  • Knowledge of employee participation.
  • Knowledge of reorganizations within the public organization.
  • Knowledge of the public organization's structure.

Practical

  • A security screening is part of the selection procedure.
  • A reference check and assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
  • You must be from a country within the European Economic Area or possess a combined residence and work permit (GVVA).
