A production company is looking for a Shift Leader for a production facility. Strong leadership qualities and experience in a production environment are essential for this role. You will manage a production team of three to four people and report directly to the Plant Manager.
What you do
- Directly lead the production team, consisting of an Assistant Shift Leader and Machine Operators.
- Responsible for overall personnel planning in accordance with production needs.
- Oversee shifts, working hours, leave days, and any overtime of the team via the time registration system.
- Ensure accurate recording of production data and coordinate inspection, maintenance, and cleaning activities to guarantee information reliability.
- Monitor daily production, prioritizing timely delivery and product quality.
- Provide technical support if necessary, oversee planned maintenance, and make decisions regarding equipment use, maintenance, and adjustments.
- Work closely with management and departments such as Quality and Technical Service, with effective communication being central.
- Support the team in resolving quality deviations, separate non-conforming products, and ensure delivery according to customer requirements.
- Identify training needs within the team and take targeted action.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Housekeeping guidelines.
- Participation in the emergency response team (BHV) is required.
Profile
- Completed MBO level 4 education or demonstrable MBO+ work and thinking level through a combination of education and practical experience.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in an (industrial) production environment.
- Knowledge and experience in Extrusion Blow Moulding.
Technical Skills.
- Good command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
