Dutch Teacher for Practical Education

• You teach Dutch to students in Practical Education.
• You ensure that language does not remain a separate school subject, by having students practice with practical applications such as reading work instructions, writing application letters, conducting interviews with internship supervisors, and filling out forms.
• In addition, you teach a few hours of Career Orientation and Guidance (LOB) and/or digital skills.
• For LOB, you help students discover what suits them: what work, what internship, and what next step.
• For digital skills, you teach them how to use what they need in the workplace and in daily life, from email and Office to safe online behavior.
• You build a bond with your classes through clarity, structure, and humor, and offer extra support to students who are struggling.
• You collaborate with colleagues based on respect, trust, and honesty, take initiative, and share successes.

What they ask You have this.

• A teaching qualification, preferably PABO or a second-degree teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of and affinity with the target group (Practical Education).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patience and humor.
• Availability on Tuesday afternoons for meetings.
• Understanding that general education subjects (AVO) serve the practical subjects.
• Affinity with LOB and/or digital skills is a plus.
