Project Leader

As a civilian employee within a defense organization, you contribute to peace and security with your specialization, together with a team of military personnel, reservists, and civilian employees.

What you will do.

  • Provide direction to projects that contribute to the future of the organization.
  • Responsible for the successful realization of projects by effectively deploying people, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitor the quality, progress, and coherence of the project and ensure good cooperation within the team.
  • Support and motivate employees through clear communication, structure, and leadership.
  • Carefully prepare decision-making and provide necessary management and steering information during the various project phases.
  • Analyze developments, information, and relevant context and translate them into concrete results, feasibility, and critical success factors.
  • Advise and contribute to well-founded choices.
  • Draw up the project assignment, define the frameworks and scope, and translate needs into a clear program of requirements with associated preconditions.
  • Connect stakeholders and ensure that involved parties remain informed, involved, and motivated throughout the process.
  • Bring parties together and seek solutions when challenges or resistance arise.
  • Contribute to the operational strength of the organization and the protection of the country.

What they ask

  • HBO/WO diploma and training in project management (e.g., PRINCE2 and/or IPMA).
  • 2 to 4 years of experience and knowledge in project management and relevant methods.
  • Communicatively skilled to communicate at different levels.
  • Able to sharpen objectives and draw up a realistic planning and budget.
  • Competencies: eager to learn, results-oriented, teamwork.

Practical

  • A security screening and reference check (upon request) are part of the selection procedure.
  • An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
  • Dutch nationality is required.
