Project Manager

You fulfill a central directing role within a complex international stakeholder field.

  • You work closely with an external organizer, various government agencies, and partners.
  • Internally, you collaborate with the event team, communication colleagues, and business managers of the organization.
  • You ensure integral direction, coordination, and coherence between all involved parties (internal and external).
  • You optimally support executives, board members, business managers, and partners in their participation in the summit.
  • You ensure that opportunities in the field of collaboration, investments, international relations, and project development are maximally utilized.
  • Together, you ensure that the organization is visible as the place where the entire hydrogen value chain comes together, where strategic collaborations arise, investments are attracted, and business deals are concluded.

What you do

  • Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and execution of the organization's involvement in the international summit.
  • Directing the preparation and coordination of the agenda for the CEO and COO of the organization.
  • Supporting and facilitating business managers in stakeholder management, international meetings, delegation visits, and business networking events.
  • Directing the collaboration between the event team, the communication department, business managers, and external partners, ensuring coherence in programming, communication, and stakeholder activities.
  • Develop an integral program overview for participation in the summit, including all relevant activities, responsibilities, decision points, stakeholder contacts, and dependencies, and coordinate it.
  • Establish a coordinated governance and consultation structure between the organization, external organizer, various government agencies, and other involved partners.
  • Provide a demonstrably coordinated stakeholder overview, including a contact strategy for the most important internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fully prepare and coordinate the agenda for the CEO and COO, including an overview of appointments, program participation, priority stakeholder discussions, and necessary briefing documentation.
  • Make preparation documents and action lists available in a timely manner for every executive appointment or meeting.
  • Establish a coordinated overview of the organization's objectives during the summit, translated into messaging and content for the exhibition and conference, and into a concrete appointment and stakeholder program.
  • Organize and coordinate the organization's stand at the exhibition floor, relevant business meetings for board members, the organization of (international) delegation visits, and networking activities that contribute to the predefined commercial, strategic, and international objectives.
  • Ensure coordinated execution of all conference and exhibition components of the summit where the organization plays a role.
  • Timely identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and facilitate stakeholders according to plan.
  • Provide continuous insight to the client into progress, risks, decision points, and necessary actions.
  • After the event, deliver an evaluation and transfer report including feedback on the realization of predefined objectives, milestones, budget, collaboration, an overview of activities performed, results, next steps, and recommendations.

Profile

  • You move easily within a complex public-private stakeholder field.
  • You are a natural connector who knows how to bring together diverse interests and mobilize parties to achieve common results.
  • You can operate at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
  • You have experience in a coordinating, directing, or programmatic role.
  • You are able to achieve results without direct hierarchical steering.
  • You are organizationally sensitive and administratively skilled.
  • You know how to effectively switch between content experts, business managers, management, board members, executives, and external stakeholders.

What they ask

  • Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a coordinating, directing, and/or programmatic role.
  • Demonstrable experience with complex projects and collaborations in an administrative and public-private environment.
  • Experience with large-scale events, congresses, international conferences, or similar trajectories.
  • Experience with administrative processes and preparing executives, board members, and high-level delegations.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Preferences.

  • Knowledge of or affinity with the hydrogen sector, industry, and energy transition.
