Child Psychologist
For a multidisciplinary children's practice, we are looking for an enthusiastic (clinical) child psychologist to strengthen the team. The practice believes that a child can only truly flourish when body, mind, and environment are in balance. Therefore, various medical and paramedical care providers are brought together under one roof. From a warm, accessible environment, children, young people, and their families are guided in their development.
The practice aims to offer children and their parents a place where they feel heard and understood, where there is room for their story, and where together they seek the support that best suits them.
What you will do.
- Perform psychodiagnostic research on children and young people with diverse support needs.
- Map socio-emotional development, cognitive functioning, and any behavioral or developmental difficulties.
- Guide children and young people with, among other things, emotional difficulties, anxiety, insecurity, behavioral problems, and difficulties in social interaction.
- Provide parental guidance and support families with parenting questions and developmental challenges.
- Consult with parents, schools, and other involved care providers to optimally coordinate guidance.
- Actively collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, educationalists, and other disciplines within the practice.
- Contribute ideas for group activities, workshops, and preventive initiatives for children and families.
- Help shape an integrated care approach where the child and their environment are central.
- Have the opportunity to further develop your own expertise and interests and contribute to the offerings and future of the growing children's practice.
Profile
- Possess a (master's) degree in (clinical) psychology, preferably with a specialization or particular interest in children and young people.
- Have a heart for children, young people, and their families.
- Have an interest in psychodiagnostics and/or psychological guidance for children and young people.
- Work independently, take responsibility, and have an eye for the individual needs of each child.
- Believe in the added value of multidisciplinary collaboration and gladly share your expertise with colleagues.
- Communicate smoothly and respectfully with children, parents and other involved care providers.
- Both starters and experienced psychologists are welcome.
- Be motivated to contribute to a growing children's practice with a clear vision.
Practical
- A warm, child-centered working environment within a multidisciplinary practice.
- Opportunity to collaborate with various disciplines and exchange expertise.
- Room for personal initiative, interests, and professional development.
- A rapidly growing practice where you can actively contribute ideas about the offerings and new initiatives.
- A pleasant working environment with attention to collaboration, commitment, and quality of care.
