You contribute to structural safety within various construction projects for an environmental service. The goal is to create a healthy, sustainable, and safe living environment. You ensure that complex architectural and infrastructural projects are realized safely.
What you do
- Assess and control the structural aspects of various construction projects, including residential buildings, utility buildings, tunnels, and bridges.
- Analyze risky components to ensure structural safety.
- Perform technical assessments and review applications against relevant standards and legislation, such as the Eurocode and the Omgevingswet.
- Advise colleagues and external parties on structural issues.
- Be involved in supervision processes and permits according to the General Local Ordinance (APV).
- Collaborate on shell and foundation investigations.
- Assess division requests.
- Be active at large public events.
- Technical insight, political awareness, and environmental sensitivity are important here.

- Analytical: carefully analyze complex structural issues and identify risks and deviations.
- Judgmental: form an independent and well-considered judgment based on facts and circumstances.
- Persuasive: clearly substantiate viewpoints and professionally guide others in advice.

- HBO or university degree in a relevant field, for example, civil engineering or construction.
- Relevant work experience as a structural engineer.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and the ability to navigate between diverse interests.
