Project Management Officer

There is a need for additional Project Management Officers for projects on the IT portfolio for which financial resources have been released. The Project Management Officer plays a role in realizing the change objectives of a large government organization. These change objectives relate to the harmonization, development, and innovation of work processes and output results of the organization and its public sector partners.

What you do

The Project Management Officer works closely with the project manager and is co-responsible for the realization of a complex project in the field of information provision and contributes to the implementation of solutions. You provide solicited and unsolicited advice on all project aspects.

  • Co-drafting and monitoring program and project plans
  • Ensuring the setup and monitoring of project administration (financial and general)
  • Collecting progress overviews and signaling, analyzing, and reporting deviations
  • Providing methodological support for project-based work and/or Agile Scrum to program and project managers
  • Ensuring compliance with quality management guidelines for projects/programs
  • Embedding the issue and risk management process within projects, including guiding risk analysis sessions and registering/monitoring issues and risks according to established criteria
  • Co-drafting the communication plan
  • Preparing steering committee meetings, taking minutes, and monitoring follow-up of action points
  • Ensuring central project archiving in compliance with guidelines

What they ask

  • At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a Project Management Officer for projects with an IT component, within large organizations (800+) in the past 5 years
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with embedding the issue and risk management process within projects in the past 5 years
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with the Agile/Scrum way of working
  • Demonstrable work experience within an organization in the public sector
