Legal policy officer (enforcement)

Provide legal advice to colleagues.

• Seek (informal) solutions in the field of enforcement within the Wabo/Omgevingswet, the APV, special laws, other legislation and regulations, and where necessary, the Wet Kinderopvang.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests for enforcement.
• Process Woo requests.
• Draft administrative sanctions and collection orders.
• Assess and analyze new legislation and regulations, translate this into policy, and involve colleagues in this process.
• Draft statements of defense.
• Represent a government organization before the advisory committee for objections, the court, and the Council of State.
• The position falls under the Permits, Supervision, and Enforcement team within the Environmental Affairs team of a government organization.
• The approach to supervision and enforcement is characterized by a preventive and communicative approach.

What they ask for. What they ask

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the role of legal policy officer (enforcement).
• Demonstrably completed HBO education in a legal field.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience with a government organization.
• Demonstrable knowledge of environmental law (Omgevingswet).

Preferences.

• Experience with the Wet kinderopvang.
• Experience with Woo requests.
