Tester

Protect the software of a government organization. Become a tester in a specific department and make a real impact. You will work on IT that directly influences security and military personnel worldwide. You will join the IT company of a government organization and play a key role within a department focused on civil operational command & control, and intelligence & security, where digital threats are daily work.

As a tester, you will make a significant contribution to the development of mobile apps within this organization. You will join a self-managing SCRUM team and be co-responsible for delivering mobile solutions with a focus on web apps and hybrid apps. You are fully proficient in testing mobile and web applications. You will ensure that testing is performed structurally, automated, and according to standards.

This will contribute to the reliability of deliveries and the continuous improvement of the development pipeline.

What you do

  • Tests new functionalities delivered by the team
  • Performs regression tests, automated or manual
  • Translates project objectives and requirements into a risk-driven test approach
  • Collaborates with the team to provide understandable acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Acts as the central point for acceptance testing between stakeholders and the team
  • Brings structure by identifying functional and non-functional requirements
  • Reports and advises on test coverage, test results, and quality risks
  • Actively contributes to the testing policy and the professionalization of testing within the department and your team
  • Plays a key role in knowledge sharing and coaching colleagues

What they ask

  • Minimum a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in computer science
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with testing web applications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with testing mobile applications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with test automation
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with JIRA or a similar tool
  • Experience working in a SCRUM team
  • Experience with setting up and guiding User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
  • Excellent proficiency in the Dutch language (C2)

Preferences.

  • Experience within a government organization, preferably within a specific domain
  • Experience with testing complex applications
  • Experience working in a complex environment
  • Experience with test automation in Playwright
  • Experience with testing integrations with tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Experience with testing mobile apps for the iOS and Android platform
  • Possesses a certificate related to Test Methods and Techniques: ISTQB or TMAP
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
