Aircraft Mechanical Maintenance Technician

As an Aircraft Mechanical Repair Technician, you will work in a department focused on aviation components. You will follow the applicable regulations and work instructions to meet military aviation requirements. You will contribute to the maintenance of flying weapon systems.

What you will do.

  • Work with various types of metals and plastics on aviation components.
  • Select and verify prescribed processing methods according to technical instructions.
  • Prepare materials and tools.
  • Propose special aids, such as specific tooling.
  • Use various machining and non-machining repair techniques for materials such as steel, aluminum, plastic.
  • Operate a computer-controlled engraving machine.
  • Perform specialized work at various organizational locations, such as installing components (bushes, bearings) or precision work with various hand tools/machines.
  • Discuss problems with the 1st Technician and Coordinator.
  • Document work in a computer system.
  • Ensure high-quality work, tool maintenance, and workplace safety.
  • Ensure safe use and disposal of operational substances.
  • If necessary, propose procedure improvements and discuss them with the 1st Technician.
  • Follow "On the Job" training to acquire all specific required skills.

What they ask

  • MBO-3 diploma in a technical field (aircraft maintenance or mechanical engineering).
  • Preferably experience in aircraft technology or metal technology.
  • Good oral and written proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • Accurate, independent, stress-resistant, and solution-oriented.

Practical

  • A mandatory security screening and reference check (upon request) are part of the selection procedure.
  • You must take the oath or promise for civilian employees of the organization.
  • You must have Dutch nationality.
