A regional broadcaster is looking for a journalist/editor who proactively seeks news in the region. The broadcaster aims to be close to its residents and tell stories relevant to the people who live, work, and reside there.
What you will do.
- Gather information about what is happening with the people.
- Interpret news and write compelling stories.
- Create content for social media.
- Take photos or videos to support stories.
- Help the broadcaster grow and be visible.
What they ask for.
- HBO degree in Journalism or similar education/relevant work experience.
- No 9-to-5 mentality.
- A nose for news.
- Willingness to go into the region and know the target audience.
- Experience with creating content for social media is a plus.
- Residing in or around the region.
- Not a desk editor, but someone who goes out to find stories.
