Residential Supervisor
As a residential supervisor, you provide care and guidance to people with acquired brain injury (ABI). You stand by the residents and understand that this means supporting them without taking everything out of their hands. Together, you discover what someone wants and can manage themselves, focusing on what is possible. You work in small, multidisciplinary teams around a resident, consisting of a care manager, residential supervisor, and a colleague from the support service.
You are part of several of these teams and collaborate to provide the most suitable support for the resident. In our small-scale residential locations, there is time and space for personal attention and 1-on-1 guidance. Important moments in your work include a good conversation, undertaking something together, or simply pausing to reflect on what is happening. In addition to planned care and guidance questions, you will also deal with ad-hoc situations, requiring quick action.
You run a care route with a colleague, guide residents individually, and are present during communal moments. Additionally, you assist with medication, ADL tasks, and household chores. For some residents, you also provide more intensive care.
