Team Leader Communication

A municipal work organization is looking for an experienced interim team manager with extensive experience in change processes within teams and a demonstrable communication background.

• The interim team manager is responsible for leading the team, ensuring the quality and continuity of services, and guiding the team through a phase of (further) development and change.
• The team manager investigates what is needed to make the team future-proof so that current and future tasks and capacity are better balanced.
• The assignment has a strong change management character, focused on organizing job satisfaction, quality, and reducing workload.
• The Communication team consists of 12 employees (2 policy advisors, 4 communication advisors, and 6 communication employees) and works cross-team and organization-wide.

What you will do.

• Provide daily leadership and direction to the team.
• Ensure continuity and quality in service delivery.
• Manage a good division of work (between advisors and employees), proper contracting for new activities and projects, prioritization, progress, and results.
• Manage the organization of good processes, working methods, and task distribution.
• Guide and support employees in their development.
• Investigate what is needed to make the team future-proof so that current and future tasks and capacity are better balanced.
• Offer a helping hand where necessary in execution and participate in the communication on-call service in the evenings and weekends.

What they ask

• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in a manager and/or leadership role within a municipal organization.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience with communication within the government.
• Demonstrable work experience with change and/or improvement processes.

Preferences.

• A demonstrably completed education in communication, public administration, and/or management at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
• Demonstrable work experience with change and/or improvement processes.
• Demonstrable work experience in a communication and/or PR role within a government organization.
• Demonstrable work experience in a manager and/or leadership role within a municipal organization.
