HR Consultant
You have extensive experience as an HR Consultant and are ready for an environment where your expertise is constantly challenged. With various clients, you quickly get to the core, provide direction on complex HR issues, and advise management and the board — even when your professional perspective calls for a different course. At a consulting firm, you combine this substantive impact and variety with the security of an employer and an experienced HR team behind you.
One time, you advise on organizational development or strategic HR policy. On a subsequent assignment, you guide a change, address complex employee issues, or strengthen the HR foundation.
What you will do. Your role varies per client. The focus is on tactical and strategic advice, but you also handle implementation when necessary. For example, you will be involved in:
- advising management and the board on HR strategy, organizational development, staffing
- guiding complex labor law, personnel, and absenteeism issues
- developing HR policy and processes and translating them into practice
- guiding reorganizations, change processes, and organization-wide HR projects
- shaping talent and development issues
- translating HR data and developments into advice and decision-making
You look beyond the initial question, recognize patterns, and identify interests and risks. You advise critically and ensure that plans are practically executable.
Profile
You are an experienced HR Consultant who easily switches between people, organization, and strategy. You are a strong discussion partner for management and the board and independently handle complex issues.
- Several years of experience in a broad role as an HR Consultant
- Demonstrable HBO or WO (higher professional education or university) work and thinking level, preferably through an HR-related education
- Driving license
Practical aspects. Interim work requires flexibility, organizational sensitivity, and the ability to make a quick impact. You quickly grasp what is going on and build trust with various stakeholders. Not every assignment starts directly strategically. Sometimes the foundation needs to be in order first, or temporary operational deployment is required. You easily switch between these levels and keep an eye on what is structurally needed. An assignment can last from one month to over a year.
Matching considers your experience, interests, development goals, and travel time.
Your team and your development. You remain part of a team of HR professionals. You have contact with your team lead, spar during the weekly team check-in, and see the team at monthly meetings. As a senior, you also share your knowledge with colleagues. Work is professional, communication is quite direct, and humor is considered important. Team activities are organized throughout the year.
With training, intervision, and a personal development budget, you further deepen your expertise, for example in organizational change, labor law, leadership, or strategic HR advice.
