For a financial organization, we are looking for a P2P / Accounts Payable Project Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for further professionalizing and standardizing the current accounts payable process. Subsequently, you will guide the phased transfer of activities to an international Shared Service Center. It is a versatile assignment combining operational knowledge of P2P and Accounts Payable with project management, process optimization, and change management.
You will start by thoroughly mapping the entire Purchase-to-Pay process. You will analyze current working methods, systems, responsibilities, and controls, identifying areas for improvement and standardization. In the initial phase, you will also provide operational support where necessary. This will give you a good understanding of daily practices and allow you to learn the processes and systems from within.
From this substantive basis, your role will increasingly develop towards project leadership and transition management. You will maintain an overview of the entire transition and ensure that processes are efficient, manageable, and sufficiently standardized before activities are transferred to the international Shared Service Center. You will work closely with colleagues within Finance and Procurement, management, and various international stakeholders.

- Documenting processes, responsibilities, activities, and internal controls
- Identifying activities suitable for outsourcing or offshoring
- Preparing and guiding the phased transition to the Shared Service Center
- Monitoring quality, capacity, continuity, and progress during the transition
- Setting up and optimizing activities that remain within the organization
- Coordinating and engaging internal and international stakeholders
- Providing operational support where necessary
- Identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for further process improvement
- Ensuring knowledge transfer and proper handover to the involved teams
What they ask We are looking for an independent and pragmatic professional who combines in-depth P2P knowledge with experience in project and change management. You are able to understand processes and activities at a detailed level while maintaining an overview of the larger transition project. You know how to engage stakeholders at various levels and are accustomed to taking responsibility for both content and progress.
- A completed HBO or WO education (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, with 5 years or more preferred
- Extensive experience within P2P and Accounts Payable
- Experience with optimizing, standardizing, and documenting financial processes
- Experience with outsourcing, offshoring, and/or the transition to a Shared Service Center
- Experience with project leadership, change management, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent command of the Dutch language
Experience within a regulated corporate environment is a strong plus. Knowledge of systems such as AccountView, Spend, and Onventis is an advantage.
