Operational Buyer

At a yacht builder, world-class yachts are constructed. Production is running at full capacity, and dozens of yachts are delivered in series annually. As an Operational Buyer, you ensure that the right materials are available at the right time at the shipyard. You are the indispensable link between suppliers, the warehouse, and the production floor.

What you will do.

• You start the day by checking the ERP system for purchase requests and minimum stock levels.
• You process data and directly generate purchase orders.
• You order materials according to agreements made with co-makers and continuously optimize the material flow.
• You monitor delivery times, check order confirmations (price, delivery date, item numbers), and ensure flawless registration of master data in the ERP system.
• You are in daily contact with suppliers regarding the status of shipments, identify delays early, and escalate deviations when necessary.
• You monitor stock levels and initiate replenishments based on current consumption, forecasts, and specific project needs.
• You coordinate daily with the warehouse and the production floor.
• You support invoice processing, investigate price differences or delivery discrepancies, and consult with the finance department and suppliers.
• You propose improvements for purchasing or ERP system processes to work smarter and more efficiently.
