As a practitioner within the Development and Behavior Team, you provide intensive, individual treatment to children aged 4 to 11 with developmental delays, often in combination with (a suspicion of) autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You focus on behavioral issues and the development of skills in communication, self-reliance, and socio-emotional development.
What you do
- Provides treatment on-site and in the home situation
- Works closely with parents and professionals according to the "One child, one plan" principle
- Identifies needs and bottlenecks within the child's system
- Delivers customized solutions and actively contributes to improvements
- Works methodically and goal-oriented, based on observation, analysis
- Uses play as a means to stimulate development and learning moments
- Follows the mandatory ABAT training after six months and thus gets the opportunity to grow into a senior practitioner
Profile
You are a committed and robust professional with an affinity for children with developmental delays. You combine sensitivity with decisiveness and remain calm and professional, even with complex behavioral issues.
- Works in a structured and flexible manner
- Takes responsibility and dares to make decisions
- Enjoys collaborating and is open to development and feedback
- Has a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Pedagogy
- Has knowledge of behavioral issues and intellectual disabilities
- Has experience with behavioral analysis or is willing to learn it
- Possesses strong communication skills
- Has a B driving license and own transportation
