As a Basic Occupational Health Physician, you play an important role in guiding absenteeism, reintegration, and prevention processes. You contribute to the sustainable employability of employees and help them stay healthy and vital at work. You work under the supervision of an experienced occupational physician and are in close contact with case managers, practice assistants, and other doctors within the organization. There is ample room for consultation, intervision, and professional development.
This gives you the opportunity to get to know the field of occupational medicine well and to further develop yourself as a physician.
What you will do.
- Perform medical-substantive assessments
- Advise employers and employees on health in relation to work
- Investigate factors influencing employee functioning, such as work environment, working conditions, safety, lifestyle, private situation, and any underlying medical issues
- Develop clear advice for reintegration and prevention policy
- Guide employees in recovery, behavioral change, and finding a healthy balance between capacity and work
Profile
- Completed Master's degree in Medicine
- Valid BIG registration
- Interest in or affinity with occupational medicine and occupational health services
- Analytical and strong communication skills
- Able to switch effectively between different interests
- Eye for both the medical and human aspects of an issue
