Executive Secretary

As an executive secretary, you will support one of the two board members of a healthcare organization, a board member with a healthcare background. You will also support the supervisory board. You are an important pivot within the executive secretariat, ensuring optimal support for the board of directors and supervisory board. You monitor the progress of actions, ensure the right people are involved at the right time, and maintain an overview of the coherence between meetings, agreements, and decision-making.

You actively contribute to the progress of important organization-wide issues.

What you do

  • Managing and coordinating a complex board agenda
  • Preparing and organizing meetings for the board of directors and supervisory board
  • Monitoring actions, agreements, and decision-making processes
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying bottlenecks and proactively proposing solutions
  • Organizing board meetings, policy days, and management meetings
  • Contributing to the further professionalization of the executive secretariat and improvement of work processes, including digital support and methods

You will work closely with a colleague executive secretary, the board secretary, and the strategic board advisor.

Profile

You are someone who likes to maintain an overview, thinks ahead, and enjoys relieving high-level executives. You feel at home in a dynamic environment where plans can change, you know when to switch gears, easily prioritize, and have a good sense of administrative relationships.

What they ask

  • Work and thinking level or professional knowledge appropriate for an executive or board secretary
  • Several years of relevant work experience at executive, board, or (senior) management level
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both oral and written
  • Interest in mental healthcare. Experience within healthcare is welcome, but not necessary.

Practical

  • A one-year contract for 32 to 36 hours with the prospect of a permanent contract
  • An 8.33% year-end bonus
  • 8.33% holiday allowance
  • 166 vacation hours and 35 LFB hours per year for full-time employment
